French pop queen Aya Nakamura‘s got fans buzzing about more than just her chart-topping hits. After stealing the show at the 2024 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in Paris, everyone’s wondering: what’s the deal with her love life?

While her music career is an open book, her romantic life has had its share of drama. Remember Vladimir Boudnikoff? The producer was once the main man in Nakamura’s world, but that relationship hit a sour note. Since their split, the Pookie singer seems to be single.

Don’t get your hopes up if you’re crushing on Aya, though. The pop star may be keeping new romance on the down-low. She’s had a few public relationships before, but these days, Nakamura’s playing her cards close to her chest.

Whether the artist’s truly single or just keeping things private, Nakamura, 31, knows how to keep us all guessing. With her music career hitting new heights, who knows what’s next for her in the love department? For now, it seems her passionate performances are the only action her admirers are getting.

Her Relationship With Her Ex-Boyfriend Ended Dramatically

Aya’s love life took a stormy turn with her ex-boyfriend Vladimir Boudnikoff, a music video producer. The former flames went public with their romance in October 2020. They even welcomed a daughter, Ava, in January 2022. But things went south fast.

In August 2022, the ex-couple had a heated argument that turned physical. Reports say jealousy sparked the fight, with Boudnikoff attending a wedding without Nakamura where an ex of his was present. The pair ended up in a shouting match, throwing things and hitting each other in their home studio.

The drama didn’t end there. Both Nakamura and Boudnikoff faced charges of domestic violence. In February 2023, a judge slapped Nakamura with a €10,000 fine, while her ex-partner got hit with a €5,000 penalty.

Despite the messy split, they’re trying to keep things civil for their daughter’s sake. Aya’s keeping quiet about her personal life these days, but Vladimir occasionally shares pics of little Ava on social media.

She Has Expressed Her Regret About Not Pressing Charges Against Ex Niska

Aya’s music career has soared, but her personal life hasn’t always hit the right notes. In 2019, the singer had a brief fling with rapper Niska, her Sucette collaborator. Sadly, this relationship struck a sour chord, too.

Nakamura later accused Niska of domestic violence. In a 2020 interview for her album Aya, she opened up about the experience. She admitted she didn’t file a complaint at the time, wondering if she was “weak mentally” then. The artist further confessed she never thought it could happen to her.

The incident left her disillusioned. She even spoke about the lack of support for Black women, even from within their own community. Her words painted a picture of isolation and disappointment.

Nakamura shared the picture of her bruised face on her Instagram story

Months later, she revisited the topic on France Inter, discussing a photo she’d posted on Instagram in March 2019 showing her bruised face and how she hadn’t expected the media storm that left her feeling ashamed and overwhelmed.

The Father Of Her First Child Remains Unknown

Nakamura may not look like one, but she is actually a devoted mom of two. She welcomed her first daughter, Aïcha, back in 2016 when she was just 21 years old.

While she’s kept the identity of her firstborn’s father private, she’s open about her motherhood journey. The Djadja singer opened up to TF1, saying,

When I had my daughter, I told myself that I had to take care of her, that I would now have to think about her before thinking about myself.

This chart-topper’s home life isn’t all glitz and glamour. She’s shared some playful videos with her older daughter, even comparing their singing styles. She joked about her own start in music, saying,

I was like my daughter, singing in front of videos with a hairbrush as a microphone!

Balancing stardom with motherhood is no easy feat, but Nakamura’s determined to keep it real for her kids. She explained,

When she tells me that she saw me on TV, I explain that mom was at work. It’s important that she understands that mom is not just a star.

Aya Nakamura Wants To Have A Dinner With Her Childhood Crush, Leonardo DiCaprio

Nakamura might be a big star now, but she’s still got her teenage dreams. At the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, the renowned artist spilled some tea about her celebrity crush.

Turns out, she’s got a soft spot for none other than Leonardo DiCaprio. The singer confessed she’s been swooning over the Hollywood heartthrob since her teen years. She even daydreams about having dinner with him, gushing over his acting chops and that timeless DiCaprio charm.

But hold up, Aya! At 29, she might be facing an unexpected hurdle in her DiCaprio dreams. Word on the street is that Leo’s got a bit of a… let’s say, age preference when it comes to dating. Rumor has it, he rarely dates women over 25. (Wink, wink!)

So, while Nakamura’s crush is totally relatable (I mean, who hasn’t fallen for those baby blues?), her dinner date fantasy might stay just that – a fantasy. But hey, a girl can dream, right? And who knows, maybe Leo will make an exception for this chart-topping diva!
