For decades, Les Wexner stood at the center of American retail success, but his name has also been tied to one of the most disturbing scandals in recent memory. His long professional association with Jeffrey Epstein — who managed Wexner’s finances for nearly twenty years — later became a major point of public controversy.
Epstein operated out of a property owned by Wexner and maintained unusually close access to his business world, details that later became part of intense public and media scrutiny.
That attention grew even sharper after the Epstein Files Transparency Act passed in 2025, reopening interest in people who had financial or social ties to Epstein.
As those documents reignited debate, many now want to know more about Wexner away from the controversy, particularly his private life. Despite the noise, the billionaire businessman has remained married for decades and is a father of four, keeping his family largely out of the spotlight.
Here’s a closer look at Les Wexner’s wife, Abigail S. Koppel, and their children.
Who Is His Wife, Abigail S. Koppel?
Abigail S. Koppel has been part of Les Wexner’s life for more than three decades. The two married on January 23, 1993, and over the years, they built a family together, raising four children.
While Wexner’s name often dominates headlines, Koppel has maintained a strong identity of her own—professionally, academically, and philanthropically.
Abigail was born to Polish parents, and much of her family story traces back to Europe and the Middle East. Her father, Yehuda, was born in Kalisz, Poland, left at 16, and later resettled in Palestine.
He later joined the British Army, serving in the Jewish Brigade during World War II and retiring with the rank of Major. Beyond his military service, the veteran played a meaningful role in the early formation of the State of Israel as a leader within the Haganah.
In the 1950s, Yehuda moved to New York and opened the first American office of El Al, Israel’s national airline.
Abigail followed a rigorous academic path. She attended the Dwight School in New York City before enrolling at Barnard College, where the celebrity spouse graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
She later earned her law degree from New York University School of Law. Her legal career began at Davis Polk & Wardwell, where Abigail practiced in both New York and London before eventually relocating to Ohio.
Outside the legal world, Koppel has held influential leadership roles. She serves as the CEO of Whitebarn Associates and has sat on numerous boards, including The Wexner Foundation and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
She was also a member of the L Brands board of directors until May 2021. Alongside Les Wexner, the multifaceted woman is closely associated with large-scale philanthropic efforts across Ohio, with institutions such as the Wexner Center for the Arts and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
They Have Four Children
Les and Abigail Wexner are parents to four children—Harry, Hannah, David, and Sarah. Unlike their father, none of them court attention, and the family has consistently kept personal details private.
The eldest, Harry Wexner, has followed a more visible academic and professional path. A Harvard graduate, Harry was once a Bronfman Youth Fellow. He later spent time teaching eighth-grade English Language Arts in Denver.
Alongside his work in education, Harry also gained firsthand experience in the family’s retail world, including a stint at Bath & Body Works. In recent years, the star kid has been connected to Layla Bagels, a boutique food venture with operations on the West Coast.
David Wexner has also been linked to Layla Bagels. He is understood to be involved in day-to-day operations in the business, working closely with his brother.
