Andy Williams spent more than two decades playing guitar in front of packed rooms before introducing himself to another audience as The Butcher in All Elite Wrestling. Yet despite years of touring and national television appearances, Williams disclosed surprisingly little about the people closest to him.
That privacy has become more noticeable following his death at 48. Williams suffered a medical emergency while wrestling at an Enjoy Wrestling event in Millvale, Pennsylvania, on September 5, 2026. He received CPR before being transported from the venue, and the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed his death.
While Williams was open about music, wrestling, and his Buffalo upbringing, his romantic life and children rarely became part of his public persona. Still, a handful of interviews offer some answers about whether the wrestler had a wife, fiancée, or kids.
Was Andy Williams Married? He Publicly Mentioned a Fiancée
There is no reliable public record confirming that Williams was married at the time of his death.
What is confirmed is that Williams was engaged at least several years earlier.
During a 2021 interview with Guitar.com, Williams was discussing the difficult schedule created by simultaneously working with Every Time I Die and wrestling for AEW. He compared lengthy music tours with the intense, shorter trips required for television wrestling and casually revealed that He had a fiancée.
“I barely talk to my fiancée on the days that I work.”
It was one of Williams’ clearest public comments about a serious romantic relationship. He did not identify his fiancée in the interview or expand on how long they had been together.
Did He Have Any Children?
Public biographical profiles identify Andy as a father, although details about his child have remained exceptionally scarce.
Famous Birthdays’ profile for the wrestler states simply that “He is a father,” while other online biographical data also list Williams as having a child. Neither provides a verified name, age, or other personal information about the child.
The Bunny Was Not Andy Williams’ Wife
One point can easily create confusion for casual AEW viewers.
The Bunny, also known as Allie and Laura Dennis, was not Andy Williams’ wife or girlfriend.
She appeared alongside The Butcher and The Blade as part of their AEW act, which naturally led some viewers unfamiliar with their personal lives to associate her with Williams.
In reality, Allie is the real-life wife of Jesse Guilmette, The Blade, Williams’ longtime tag-team partner. AEW’s own Unrestricted podcast description specifically referred to Williams and Guilmette discussing what it was like working with Jesse’s real-life wife, Allie.
Williams and Guilmette had a close friendship outside wrestling as well. Williams once described The Blade as the brother that life had given him, a connection that continued after Every Time I Die ended and Williams began concentrating more fully on wrestling.
He Was Close to His Parents Growing Up
Music was part of his household from childhood. Speaking to Noisecreep in 2012, Williams said his parents exposed him to a wide range of music and described his father as a Rolling Stones fan who remained interested in heavier bands as Andy grew older.
His father also played a direct part in introducing him to punk.
“He was the first guy to buy me a Black Flag record.”
Williams even recalled his father attending concerts with him years later.
Another interview gives a glimpse of his relationship with his mother. Williams jokingly remembered her searching his name online only to find results for the famous “Moon River” singer Andy Williams instead. He laughed about the name mix-up and spoke affectionately about her personality.
His father also appears in the story of how Williams first bought a guitar. Williams told EVH that money given to him by an aunt had originally been intended for something practical, but He spent much of it on a cheap guitar, amplifier, and cabinet so He could perform in a high school talent show.
He Also Had an Older Sister
Williams had at least one older sister. In a 2015 interview, Williams recalled that his older sister had a boyfriend who wrestled in school. The boyfriend would practice moves on him and gave young Andy wrestling magazines. Williams said those experiences helped fuel his interest in NWA wrestling and performers such as Ric Flair.
