Dean Norris is well-known for his roles as tough law enforcement and military characters, but he’s just as dedicated at home as a family man and a self-proclaimed workaholic. Since 2001, he and his wife, Bridget Norris, have lived in Temecula, California, where they raised their five children. “I raised all my family here. Now they’re leaving the nest,” Norris said to The Press-Enterprise in March 2024. “We’ve had great family time here. And it’s great to be a part of the community.”

Even with his strong family ties, Norris finds it hard to relax. He even jokes about how he would struggle with a long vacation: “The nightmare scenario for me is Bridget saying, ‘Let’s go to Hawaii for two weeks.’ I’d go insane having to sit on a beach for so long. I love my job—it’s fun,” he explained to the New York Magazine in August 2013.

To keep his life even more dynamic, Dean, along with his partner Bridget, 51, has ventured into some business together. For a closer look at how the Norris family combines business with family life, and how they balance it all, stay tuned for more insights into their adventures!

They Now Run a Triple Threat ‘Norris Performing Arts Center’

Dean, known for his iconic role as Hank in the critically acclaimed series Breaking Bad, and his wife, Bridget, a former entertainment attorney, now co-own the Norris Performing Arts Center. This studio is a community hub, offering a comprehensive range of classes including dance, vocals, musical theater, and acting for all age groups and skill levels.

According to its official website, the center aims to be a “triple threat studio” that nurtures talent in multiple performing arts disciplines. Since its inception in 2018, it has attracted over a hundred students.

The idea for the entertainment school began to materialize in April of the same year, and by July, the perfect location was secured on Corning Place in Murrieta. A grand opening followed in August.

In the organization, Bridget is instrumental in the daily management.

“Getting artists to be in place at a certain time — I know how to do that,” she said to The Press-Enterprise in Jan 2018.

While her husband Dean, 61, doesn’t visit the center every day, he contributes by teaching master classes in acting, sharing his extensive experience with students.

The couple also collaborates closely with Sean Kiralla, the creative director and a long-time friend who previously taught dance to their children.

In addition to their in-person classes, they actively promote their activities on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

The Norris Family Also Ventures into the Restaurant Business

Expanding their entrepreneurial pursuits beyond the performing arts, Dean and Bridget, longtime residents of Temecula, ventured into the restaurant industry by acquiring The Swing Inn Cafe in late 2022. This cafe is a historic staple at the south entrance of Old Town Temecula and has been serving the community since 1927. The couple purchased it for $6 million in the fall of 2022.

Under their ownership, the Norris family has refreshed the cafe’s atmosphere by outfitting the staff in newly branded Swing Inn attire, although they have kept the beloved menu of food and drinks unchanged.

The cafe continues to be a popular spot, open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

The Enduring Marriage of Bridget and Dean

The Better Call Saul star and his better half, Anne Bridget Norris, have been a steadfast duo since tying the knot in 2001. Over the years, their relationship has remained as strong as ever.

They’ve shared a lot of fun times together throughout this time. In May 2015, Dean posted a photo of them enjoying the festivities at The Kentucky Derby.

They keep making more memories, like in October 2021 when they went to a concert together. The actor shared a sweet picture from the event on Instagram with the caption “My concert date.”

Additionally, the couple has graced several red-carpet events, adding a touch of glamour to their life together. One such occasion was their appearance at the 141st Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on May 2, 2015, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Beyond their outings as a couple, Dean and Bridget often step out with their family. Back in September 2013, they were spotted shopping in Los Angeles with four of their children.

They Have Five Children With Two Following in Dad’s Footsteps

Over their two-decade-long marriage, the Norris duo has raised a family of five children—three boys and two girls. In June 2023, one of their sons celebrated his 18th birthday while living in Dublin.

Meanwhile, another son, Dean Norris Jr., 15, is making his mark in the entertainment world, much like his father. He proudly lists his talents as “Actor, singer, dancer, tap dancer” on his Instagram and is deeply involved with the family’s Norris Performing Arts Center, also working with the talent manager Ally Taylor Artists.

In June 2019, Dean Jr. made his professional stage debut in Newsies at the Pechanga Resort Casino. He has since appeared in a handful of projects like Divinity (2023) and The Delicate Cycle (2023).

In addition to their artistic endeavors, Dean frequently posts about their collective support for the LA Dodgers. One special memory was their family outing in July 2021 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Dodgers’ 1981 championship. Norris captured this moment on Twitter, writing, “Family day @Dodgers celebrating 40th anniversary of 1981 championship #Dodgers #GoBlue.”
